What HAHA is

You can try HAHA without an account. You pick a first name for the room, connect with your partner, and can take four photobooth frames, style a strip, then download or share it. In long-distance mode, live camera and microphone audio travel between the two devices.

Photos and camera

• Camera access happens in your browser, and only after you allow it. We cannot turn the camera on without that.
• Still photos from the photobooth are uploaded to private storage so we can build your strip. They are not a public gallery. Other people cannot open them with a guessable link.
• Live partner video and audio (long-distance rooms) travel peer to peer between your devices. We do not record or store that live stream.
• If you download or share a strip, that copy lives on your device or the app you share to. We do not control those copies.

Names and room data

We store the display name you type, a room code, whether you are together or long distance, and small room state such as ready status and frame number. If you create an account to save a memory, Supabase Auth stores your email and authentication details. Google sign-in shares the basic account details needed to identify you.

How long we keep it

Guest rooms expire after 24 hours. When an authenticated account saves a room, that room and its base photos are retained so the couple can return and create new strip styles. You can still download strips for copies you control.

On your device

Your browser may keep a room token so you can return to the same space, a sound on/off preference, and analytics identifiers. Clearing site data for hahabooth.in removes that local copy.

Analytics

We use PostHog and Google Analytics to understand whether the app works: pages viewed, rooms created, frames taken, strips downloaded or shared, and similar product events. We may attach a room participant id and the display name you chose. We do not sell this data. These tools may set cookies or similar storage to tell visits apart.

Who else sees data

Hosting, database, file storage, and analytics run on vendors we use to operate the site (including our cloud host, Supabase, PostHog, and Google Analytics). They process data for us, not as their own product about you. We do not sell photos or personal data.

We may share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone from serious harm.

Children

HAHA is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child gave us photos or a name, contact us and we will delete what we can still reach.

Your choices

• Deny camera permission. You will not be able to take frames. Mic is only used for long-distance voice.
• Turn off your camera or microphone using the controls in your room.
• Leave the room and clear this site's data in your browser.
• Ask us to delete a room you created. Include the room code if you still have it.
